Supreme Leader Warns of Enemies\' Plots against Iran
TEHRAN (FNA)- Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei warned about the plots hatched by the enemies against the Islamic Republic, and called on the Iranian officials and people to keep vigilant against such intrigues which seek to weaken the country.
Ayatollah Khamenei made the remarks in a meeting with the members of the Iranian parliament on Sunday.
At the meeting, the Leader cautioned that enemies are seeking to disrupt the Iranian economy, sow discord among the different state bodies and infiltrate their atheistic thoughts into the society in a bid to undermine the Islamic Republic of Iran\'s ruling system.
Earlier, Ayatollah Khamenei had also warned that enemies of the country have hatched plots to create a rift between the Iranian government and people through economic sanctions and propaganda.
\"Besides continuing its attempts against the Islamic Republic in cultural, security, political and other fields, the enemy has concentrated its efforts in the economic sector in a bid to create a gap between the people and government,\" Ayatollah Khamenei said, addressing thousands of Iranian workers on the threshold of the \'Labors Day\' here in Tehran in April.
He called on the Iranian people from all walks of life to keep vigilant against enemies\' plots, and said every Iranian should take part in the campaign against enemies relying on his or her own power and insight.
