Show More >>Martyr Ayatollah Abdul-Husayn Dastghaib Shirazi was born in 1288 Hijri in Shiraz.He developed a natural acquiring knowledge. After proper education and literature and education in different levels, he moved to Najaf, near the holy shrine of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (AS). He continued his studies by great Marajis and soon reached the stage of Ijtihad. He then returned to his hometown of Shiraz and began to lecture on the exegesis of the Qur\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'an and ethics as Imam of the local mosque Jame Masjid Ateq, After the Iranian Revolution, he was elected as a representative at the Majlis (Iranian Parliament). The post of Imam of the local mosque of Shiraz was also bestowed upon him. On Friday, 11 December in 1981, as he was proceeding to lead the prayers, he was assassinated by the MKO (in a suicide bombing).
