- Anti-Muslim sentiments lead to the control and curbing of the freedom of thought of Muslims, exploiting the beheading incident related to the cartoons of the Prophet
- Islam isn\'t against freedom of expression, however there are limitations and responsibilities
- Violent reactions to cartoons are not acceptable, however the same values that allow the cartoon, also allow Muslims the right to express objection to the cartoons
- Publishing them and then using them in a middle school setting as an example of freedom of expression was an unwise decision because it adds to xenophobia and Islamophobia.
- On the pretext of fighting extremism, President Marcon has asked Muslim leaders to accept a “charter of republican values”. He has given the French Council of the Muslim Faith, a 15-day ultimatum to accept the charter.
